Project of Overhead Line
Chrástek, Radim ; Těžký, Jiří (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
Overhead line has to suit a series of requests, so that all its parts safely resist mechanical and electrical tension. This bachelor’s thesis deals with mechanical tension. At first, necessary overhead line’s relationships under different climatic conditions are deduced. Consequently, practical calculations are introduced. Calculations are done with Matlab program.
Dimensioning of Supporting Constructions for MV Overhead Lines
Křepela, Pavel ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The reason of supporting constructions is to transfer all power activity and fulfill all requirements on safe operation of electrical grid. This bachelor’s thesis deals with designing of supporting constructions of the overhead line MV. The main task is to acquire knowledges about single parts of supporting constructions and to describe steps of power effects calculation according to current legislation. The outcome is a simple software application for supporting constructions design from power effect viewpoint.
Complex design of the overhead line section of the transmission system
Reiskup, Filip ; Valiga, Matěj (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of thesis is a design of overhead lines of transmission system under specific weather conditions in given area. Furthermore, it gives a summary about the transmission and distribution systems and describes basics of overhead lines, used conductors and pylons in Czech Republic. It also presents the issue of climate conditions having a eminent influence on overhead lines. Moreover, theoretical part of thesis contains conductor mechanics and also mentions asymmetric state of overhead lines. Practical part deals with a design of specific part of overhead lines at voltage level of 400 kV and generally evaluates area where lines would be operated. In this area the new power energy source is hypothetically planned and therefore thesis analyzes possible variants of connection this source to transmission system. For one of these variants there are the calculations of two sections of the overhead lines under different weather conditions in more detail. The results bring longitudinal profile and assembling table for each section and they demonstrate the major impact of icing on the overhead lines.
Overhead Line Protection against Climatic Effects
Sýkora, Martin ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The outdoor overhead lines are influenced by additional load pressure of wind and frost. These can have adverse reaction on outdoor conduction of the electric power. My bachelors' report deals with separate climatic effects and possibilities of their resolution. It it also concentrates on removing the negative influences caused particularly by wind and on the possibilities of liquidation of the frost that had already originated.
Aircraft de-icing systems
Smékal, Aleš ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is familiarization of me with icing on aircrafts. It includes the distribution systems for anti-icing and de-icing, energy intensity and efficiency are also included. It contains icing situations, which are very dangerous for aircrafts. Thesis shows possibilities, how to prevent ice formation, detect icing and keep pilot informed. And finally remove ice.
Experimental research of fluids against icing of overhead wires
Málek, Jan ; Polach, Pavel (referee) ; Galas, Radovan (advisor)
In this thesis, commercially available anti-icing fluids were tested. A methodology of assessment was designed for the effect of anti-icing fluids on the rapidity of ice growth and its development over time. These tests were conducted on a device constructed for the purpose of the thesis. The solutions were tested for their effect on the ice adhesion to a contact wire. The effect of the solutions on the tribological behaviour of the collector strip and contact wire was described. The experiments were supplemented by mensuration of the size of the contact angle of the solutions on the copper surface. However, these fluids anti-icing effect is relatively short-term. On the contrary, the thesis shows that even a small amount of anti-icing solution on the surface of the contact wire can help to significantly lower the ice adhesion.
Realistic Model of the Sky
Kussior, Zdeněk ; Bílek, Václav (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The paper describes a theoretical base and realization of realistic volumetric clouds visualization in an environment of real-time simulator. The first part is concerned with a meteorological background of this problem. I show international classification of ten basic cloud types including a short description and cases of occurence. The following part is concerned with an interaction between cloudiness and simulation core, which is based on the fact, that each cloud acts as a mechanical or an electromagnetic obstacle. This should be considered on some way in simulation. The next part describes technologies and practical implementations of visualization and evaluates their characteristics. Finally, the last chapter describes my implementation and tries to outline project advancement.
Mechanical Design of 110 kV Overhead Line
Guliš, Tomáš ; Sýkora, Martin (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
When designing overhead lines we must respect many influences that act on it. These are electrical effects and mechanical effects, caused in normal conditions by wind, frost and temperature. This bachelor’s thesis is mainly focused on comparison of calculation of separate load cases and comparison of parameters obtained by mechanical calculation of particular overhead line according to standards ČSN 33 3300 and ČSN EN 50341-1.
Preventive system against icing of overhead wires
Jaroš, David ; Omasta, Milan (referee) ; Galas, Radovan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with protection of overhead lines from icing with a focus on chemical treatment. The introductory part of the work focuses on the description of the overhead line and icing. The next part presents methods of prevention against icing on overhead lines. Various anti-icing systems and fluids are described here. The last part focuses on the result of this thesis and analyses the acquired knowledge.
Measuring of emissivity of wet and dry surfaces
Brzobohatý, Tomáš ; Janotková, Eva (referee) ; Pavelek, Milan (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to create summary of emissivity of wet surfaces, emissivity of rime surfaces and emissivity of dry surfaces. The next objective is to create materials for termovision measurement and find the use for this materials for practice. Theoretical part of thesis deals with a theory of ways of heat transfer (radiation mainly), description of emisivity concept, description of emisivity finding ways and the show emissivity of mesuared materials from avaible sources for working hypothesis. Emissivity of dry, wet and rime samples were measured as the experimental part of thesis. Experimental part of thesis consist of experiment description, working hypothesis, measuring instruments and measuring area description, measuring proces description and presentation of measured results. Obtained dependences are benefits for termovision measurent, energy evaluation and the thermal state microclimate simulations.
